wisesorbent montmorillonite clay desiccant series

Wisesorbent Montmorillonite Series Desiccant
Physical Adsorption Desiccant

Montmorillonite Desiccants are for industrial packaging and use high strength filter paper (1g -30g) or coated non-woven fabrics (50g-500g) as packing material and montmorillonite as its main adsorbent. This clay is a physical absorbent and great to use together with metal products, it has high moisture absorption rate at low humidity and is non-corrosive, non-toxic and does not contain any chemical additives. A great moisture fighter and a natural environmentally friendly one too!

1. What type of products benefit from utilizing Montmorillonite desiccants?
Many products in the industrial industry benefit from Montmorillonite desiccants, especially those that can be damaged by moisture. Examples include paper products, electronics, computer equipment and heavy machinery.

2. Is only the Verna non-woven packaging material available?
No, we also are able to produce the same quality desiccants with other packaging materials such as our high strength and non-woven Tyvek paper.

3. I need a larger/smaller size than what you have listed here, can it be produced?
Yes, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to work together with you to create a size suitable to your needs.

4. How long does a Montmorillonite Industrial desiccant typically last for?
This is dependent on how humid the environment is, but around 1 year if contained inside a closed environment. It can be reused again by leaving it outside letting the sunlight dry the clay inside.

5. Why use Montmorillonite as opposed to other adsorbent materials?
Overall, Montmorillonite is the most affordable of the physical desiccants, when trying to reduce moisture levels on a larger scale such as a warehouse or factory setting, Montmorillonite (or simply known as clay desiccant) is the best choice.

  • Model: Wisesorbent
  • Absorbent: Montmorillonite
  • Specification: 20g -500g
  • Form: Bags
  • Packing Materials: High Strength Filter Paper or Coated Nonwoven

In this chart, we can easily see that the giving condition under the room temperature and humidity rate is higher than 37%: Montmorillonite absorbing ability is much more steadier than other desiccants, it recharges easily and does not swell as it adsorbs water vapor.
